Background

Let's meet the owners of our two fruit stands...

Marco: Marco is an experienced businessperson with over 20 years of sales and marketing expertise. He recently moved to Southern California to start his own business selling an assortment of fruits such as oranges, pineapples, and grapefruit.

Ray: Ray is also an experienced businessperson with expertise in sales and business development. Ray has lived in Southern California for several years but just retired to start a new career as a fruit stand owner and operator.

Let's look at the "competitive landscape"...

California has an abundance of agriculture and therefore plenty of fruit stands, most of them selling the exact same products.
